What is PPGI PAINT?
PPGI stands for pre-painted galvanized iron, and PPGI paint refers to the paint coating that is applied to the surface of PPGI steel sheets. PPGI paint
is typically made from a polyester resin that is applied to the surface of the steel sheet using a continuous coil coating process.
The polyester resin used in PPGI paint is a type of thermoplastic polymer that is known for its durability, resistance to fading and chalking, and ability to maintain its color over time. The paint is also designed to be resistant to weathering, corrosion, and other types of environmental damage.
The PPGI paint coating usually applied on both sides of the steel sheets, making a thickness around 20-25 microns on the both sides of the sheet. This double-coating on both sides give a better protection to the steel sheets, providing a longer lifespan, and a better resistance to corrosion.
The color and finish of PPGI paint can be customized to meet the specific requirements of a project, and it is also possible to apply a variety of patterns, textures, and designs to the surface of the steel sheet using this type of paint coating.
PPGI paint has a number of advantages when used as a coating for steel sheets. Some of the main advantages include:
Durability: PPGI paint is highly resistant to fading, chalking, and other types of environmental damage. It is also able to withstand exposure to UV rays, rain, and other types of weathering.
Corrosion resistance: The paint protects the steel sheet from the corrosion by providing a barrier against the elements, and by providing a level of cathodic protection.
Long-lasting color: PPGI paint is designed to maintain its color over time, even when exposed to sunlight and other types of environmental factors.
Customizable: PPGI paint is available in a wide range of colors and finishes, which can be customized to meet the specific requirements of a project.
Easy to clean: PPGI paint is easy to clean and maintain, which makes it ideal for use in a wide range of applications.
Cost-effective: PPGI paint is relatively inexpensive compared to other types of paint coatings and offers a more cost-effective solution for projects requiring painted steel sheets.
Environmentally friendly: PPGI paint is VOC free (volatile organic compounds) and it has low emissions of COVs (carbon monoxide volatile) during the production process, making it an environmentally friendly option.
Improves aesthetics: PPGI paint can be used to create a wide range of patterns, textures, and designs on the surface of the steel sheet, making it a good option for applications where aesthetics are important.
